Kitchen Renovations

Custom cabinetry, quartz and granite countertops, open-concept conversions, and full electrical upgrades. Designed around how you actually cook and live.

What We Deliver

Kitchens Built for Real Life

The kitchen is the most-used room in the home and the most complex to renovate — it involves cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and often structural work. A well-renovated kitchen adds significant resale value and, more importantly, makes daily life better.

We handle every trade under one contract. Our process starts with a precise layout plan before a single cabinet is ordered, so there are no surprises on install day. We source cabinets from leading GTA suppliers and countertops from local fabricators who template after cabinets are set — ensuring perfect fit.

How We Work

Our 6-Step Process

01

Consultation & Measure

We visit, take precise measurements, and discuss your workflow, storage needs, and appliance layout. We flag structural walls, vent locations, and plumbing constraints early.

02

Layout & Cabinet Plan

We produce a detailed cabinet plan with elevations so you can visualize the result. We recommend layout adjustments that improve flow — the "work triangle" between sink, stove, and refrigerator.

03

Demo & Rough-In

Existing cabinets and countertops removed. Any open-concept wall removal (load-bearing or partition) handled with proper structural support. Plumbing and electrical relocated to new plan.

04

Cabinet Installation

Cabinets level-set to the floor's high point and shimmed plumb. Upper cabinets secured to studs. Hardware pre-installed. Custom filler pieces and crown moulding fitted to walls.

05

Countertops & Backsplash

Template made after cabinets are set. Stone or quartz fabricated to template and installed. Undermount sink set. Backsplash tile set with proper layout from focal points.

06

Appliances & Trim-Out

Appliances slid in and connected. Plumbing trim-out: faucet, supply lines, p-trap. Electrical trim-out: outlets, under-cabinet lighting, range hood electrical. Final punch list.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does a kitchen renovation take?

A standard kitchen renovation — cabinets, countertops, backsplash, plumbing and electrical — typically takes 3–4 weeks from demo to final trim-out, assuming cabinets are in stock. Custom-order cabinets can add 4–8 weeks of lead time before site work begins. We'll give you a detailed schedule at the estimate stage so you can plan around kitchen downtime.

Can you remove a wall to open up the kitchen?

Yes, this is one of the most common requests we handle. We determine whether the wall is load-bearing by inspecting the floor framing above. If it is, we install a properly sized beam (LVL or steel) with appropriate column support. A structural engineer sign-off is included in our process for any beam work. A building permit is required and we manage the application.

What countertop material do you recommend?

Quartz is the most popular choice for busy family kitchens — it's non-porous (no sealing required), durable, and available in hundreds of colours and patterns that closely mimic natural stone. Granite is a good option for clients who prefer a natural material and don't mind annual sealing. Marble looks stunning but marks easily under acidic foods. Butcher block adds warmth to islands or prep areas but requires maintenance. We bring samples to the consultation.

Do you handle appliance installation?

We handle all the rough-in and trim-out connections — gas line connections (by a licensed gas fitter), water supply and drain for dishwashers, over-the-range microwave mounting, and range hood ductwork. We do not supply appliances, but we coordinate delivery timing so they arrive after countertops are installed. We are happy to recommend appliance retailers we work with regularly.

Can you add an island to my kitchen?

Yes. Islands require planning for electrical outlets (code-required on islands ≥600 mm wide), any plumbing if adding a prep sink, and ventilation if adding a cooktop. We assess available floor space, traffic flow, and structural considerations during the consultation. Waterfall quartz islands are a popular feature we do frequently.

What permits are required for a kitchen renovation?

Most kitchen renovations — new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and appliance swaps — do not require a building permit. If we are moving plumbing drains or adding new electrical circuits, a separate permit from the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is required for the electrical work, and a plumbing permit may be required for the drain work. We advise you on exactly what applies to your project and handle all permit applications.
